Parents flocked the campus early on 5th April for Parent-Teacher Interviews following the release of the mid-term report. Approximately 338 families engaged in one-to-one discussions with individual teachers and were pleased with the quality of feedback the teachers provided. SIS thanks all parents and guardians for their continuous participation in supporting the students’ academic and personal development for the year.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at has finally begun! The inaugural first day of school began an exciting IBDP Team Building as students were welcomed by our Principal, Mr. Bill Ironside, Deputy Principal and IB Administrator, Mr. Heath Kondro, IB Coordinator, Mr. Mark Milberg and our team of qualified IB-trained teachers.
The day began with “Have you ever..” game, where students discover commonalities amongst each other. Students and teachers then participated in a “Bafa Bafa” game that resulted in a lively discussion about ways to understand and adapt to different cultures, leading us to the heart of IB – Learner Profile. The day ended with a scavenger hunt as students went on crazy missions which took them around the school and off campus! It was a terrific start to the programme for both staff and students and we are confident saying that it will be an amazing year.
New year, new semester and the beginning of a new journey for many of our new students at SIS! SIS Bandar Sunway's January 2017 Orientation Day was a day filled with welcoming and informative speeches by the Principal, Mr. Ironside, Deputy Principal Mr. Kondro, Academic Coordinator Mr. Owen and the IBDP Coordinator, Mr. Milberg.
Students were also briefed on the facilities and services we offer before being treated to a scrumptious meal at the SIS Cafeteria. The day ended on a high note as students and teachers were all smiles playing ice-breaking games in the SIS Hall. We are thrilled to kick start the semester! It will be the best one yet!
The 2016's 4th Annual Middle School Science Fair was a success yet again as our junior Einsteins showcased interesting out-of-this-world experiments! From making quick-sands to getting rid of your ‘panda-eyes’, students confidently explained their scientific findings to guests who were present at the fair. There was also an awards presentation later in the evening to the most outstanding scientists in their own respective categories.

The 2016 SIS Arts Festival is one of the best ever! The crowd had their jaws dropped to the floor by the 18 brilliant acts ranging from poetry slam, live music and dance performances! The tremendous night was put together by our incredible hosts, dedicated stage crew and teacher advisor Mr. Narancsik. Nearly RM800 was raised for Project Aware (oceanic environmental NGO) - way to go, SIS! Let’s make the 2017 edition bigger and better!
The October 2016 SIS Open Day was amazing as we welcomed friends, guests and visitors to go Back-to-School with SIS! We hosted an array of interactive workshops that was focused on various subjects under the Ontario and IB curriculum umbrella.
Our guests had fun as they experience the fun side of learning in Math (Magic Numbers), French (La Francais), Geography (Geo-Xploration), Science (Fun with Einstein), Business Tech (My Robotic Friends) and also Theory of Knowledge. Our Canadian teachers and Principal were fully engaged with guests in detailed discussion about the curriculum and also the learning culture here at SIS. It was an eventful day and we look forward to welcoming our guests into the SIS family soon!

SIS-CIMP Career Week is here again! This is an annual community event, provides opportunity for our children to learn about the world of work, contexts for their learning, and helps raise aspirations for all.
The theme this year is “My Digital Footprint” and panellists will share about the use media at their workplace.

SIS invites all parents and guardians to our upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews on Wednesday, 21st September. Following the release of the mid-term academic reports, this meeting is a good time to discuss your child’s progress and plan steps for further improvement. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring your child/ward to the meeting. Teachers will be meeting with parents and students on a first-come, first-served basis and appointments need to registered with student secretaries on arrival at SIS.
