International Office

Welcome to the International Office, SIS Sunway Iskandar.

The International Office (IO) would like to welcome you to our international and Sunway community.

The IO provides services such as visa application, and overseas student insurance. We will also advise students on immigration-related matters and guide you on the journey to being a student at SIS Sunway Iskandar.

Student Insurance

1. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT INSURANCE

Only applicable for international students (13 years old and above) with valid Student Pass under SIS.
For the Outpatient (Clinical) and Hospitalization Expenses, it is on Pay & Claim basis. Students will have to pay for the medical expenses and get reimbursement from the insurer later.
All claims are subject to approval

2. STUDENT GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE

Only applicable for the following international students:
- 12 years old and below with valid Student Pass under SIS, OR
- Dependent Pass holder
- Long Term Pass holder
- MM2H Pass holder
This insurance provides compensation in the event of injuries, disability, or death caused by a sudden and unforeseen ACCIDENT.
For the Outpatient (Clinical), it is on a Pay & Claim basis. Students will have to pay for the medical expenses and get reimbursement from the insurer later.
All claims are subject to approval

CLAIM PROCEDURES

Students will have to obtain the Health Insurance Claim Form from the International Office before or after seeking treatment from the clinic.
Parents are required to fill up the HEALTH INSURANCE CLAIM FORM (Section 1 and 2). If the medical bill exceeded RM400, then Section 4 has to be filled up by the doctor/physician. Besides that, parents must sign on (Signature of Claimant) in Section 3 – Declaration and Authorization.
Students/Parents will have to pay the Medical Bills first and obtain the ORIGINAL SUMMARY and ITEMISED BILL as well as ORIGINAL OFFICIAL RECEIPT from the clinic and/or hospital.
The Insurance Claim must be submitted to the International Office not more than SIX (6) months from the date of consultation.
The documents required for your insurance claim are:
- a copy of Passport information page
- a copy of Student ID
- a copy of Birth Certificate (in English)
- a completed Health Insurance Claim Form
- Original Summary and Itemised Bill
- Original Official Receipt
For billings above RM400, a Doctor's Medical Report detailing the diagnosis and treatment is required.
